Steps to Becoming a Warrior

At Brown Christian Academy, we believe the admissions journey should be clear, welcoming, and supportive for every family. Our goal is to partner with you from the outset and ensure your child is placed in an environment where they can grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. Submit the Online Application

Complete and submit the online application for Early Childhood or Elementary programs.

Pay the Registration Fee

2.

Submit the required non-refundable $175 new student registration fee to process the application.

Submit Required Documents

Email all required forms and supporting documents to admissions@brownchristianacademy.org

Schedule Assessment and Parent Interview

4.

Once documents are received, the Admissions Office will schedule a student readiness assessment, classroom observation, and parent interview.

Application Review and Admission Decision

The student’s file is reviewed by the Admissions and Leadership Team, and families are notified once a decision is made.

BCA Cutoff Dates for
Enrollment Eligibility

  • Pre‑Kindergarten (Pre‑K3):  Must be three years old by August 1 of the enrollment year and fully potty trained.

  • Junior Kindergarten (Pre‑K4):  Must be four years old by August 1 of the enrollment year and fully potty trained.

  • Senior Kindergarten:  Must be five years old by August 1 of the enrollment year.

  • 1st Grade:  Must be six years old by August 1 and have completed Senior Kindergarten.

Admissions Policy & Immunization Requirements

Brown Christian Academy welcomes students who desire a Christ‑centered education and whose families support our mission, values, and Biblical worldview. Admission is based on readiness, developmental appropriateness, previous school records (when applicable), and space availability.

All students must meet the Mississippi state health requirements.

BCA requires the official Mississippi Certificate of Immunization Compliance (Form 121).

Families may download a blank Form 121 and take it to their child’s healthcare provider for completion.

Note: If your child currently has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 Plan, please contact the Office of Admissions before completing an application. 

Required Supporting Documents

Early Childhood & Kindergarten Applicants

  • Copy of birth certificate (official copy, not the hospital “mother’s copy”)

  • Mississippi Form 121 Immunization Compliance

  • Any applicable custody or guardianship documents

1st Grade Applicants

  • Most recent report card

  • Attendance report

  • Discipline report

  • Mississippi Form 121

  • Copy of birth certificate

Admissions Decisions

The Enrollment Committee meets in the Spring, and notifications are sent to parents. Decisions may include: 

  • Accepted: Full acceptance into the grade level

  • Waitlist: The student has met requirements, but the grade level is currently full. Waitlisted students will be offered spots as space becomes available until all grades are filled. Students placed on the waitlist remain eligible for admission for 12 months.

  • Not Accepted: requirements set by the Enrollment Team were not met.
