Welcome to Brown Christian Academy!
Brown Christian Academy was founded with a clear and prayerful vision: to provide children with a Christ-centered, academically excellent education that nurtures the whole child. Rooted in the legacy and ministry of Brown Missionary Baptist Church, BCA serves families across the Mid‑South by offering a safe, joyful, and spiritually rich learning environment where every child is known, valued, and equipped to thrive.
From our earliest beginnings, BCA has been committed to creating a school where faith and learning work hand in hand. Our programs—from Early Childhood through Elementary and our signature summer academies—are designed to cultivate curiosity, character, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning. We integrate research-based instructional practices with a Biblical worldview, ensuring that students grow academically while developing wisdom, integrity, and compassion.
BCA was founded by Dr. Bartholomew Orr, a visionary pastor and community leader, and Dr. Gwendolyn Neal, an educator and school leader with extensive experience in teacher preparation, curriculum design, and Christian education. Together, they established a school that embodies excellence, innovation, and a deep commitment to providing high-quality, faith-rooted education to families.
Today, as Brown Christian Academy continues to grow, our focus remains clear: to partner with families in developing students who are grounded in faith, confident in learning, and equipped to impact their community and the world for Christ.
